Video: Explore our new Calgary location for primary care

  • News

A new video highlights features of Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network’s (PCN) space at UXBorough, across from the Foothills Medical Centre and Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in northwest Calgary.

Our PCN supports team-based health care, where family doctors work side by side with nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and other professionals. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition like diabetes or looking for other health supports, such as nutrition advice, we’re here to help you on your journey.

Designed for care and built for everyone

“We worked closely with our health providers and patients on the design to make our space welcoming and more functional for everyone. We want our patients to feel comfortable accessing the care they need,” says Jake Jennings, Executive Director for Calgary Foothills PCN.

Some features include:

  • Family-friendly waiting area: A built-in play nook gives kids their own space without overwhelming the room.
  • Flexible patient rooms: Created with comfort and safety in mind, our rooms are multifunctional and can accommodate family members, strollers and mobility aids.
  • Smudge room: The site includes a dedicated room for smudging as an Indigenous healing practice.
  • Patient-centred design: Throughout the space you’ll find natural light, soothing colours and soft seating options to help promote a sense of calm.

Easy to reach, easy to navigate

The space also has:

  • Onsite parking: Paid surface and underground parking (Indigo) is available onsite. Limited free street parking (one or two hours) may also be found nearby — just check signage carefully.
  • Transit access: The UXBorough building is accessible through multiple transit routes. Plan your route with Calgary Transit or Google Maps.
  • Accessibility features: The entire facility is wheelchair accessible, including elevators and restrooms.

Once inside, head to the fifth-floor reception desk to check in for your appointment.

As part of the public health care system, our programs and services are free, including workshops and one-on-one appointments. Your primary care provider, such as your family doctor, can also refer you to any PCN program.

We look forward to supporting you on your health journey.
