Best weight: Prioritizing health over weight loss
Our digestive systems play an important role in our overall health.
Symptoms such as heartburn, constipation or abdominal pain may mean our digestive system is not working properly.
For some, these symptoms may be temporary. If they occur regularly, it is important to speak to your family doctor about your symptoms to explore if it may be a chronic — or long-term — concern.
For those with chronic digestive health issues, conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), food allergies, celiac disease and Crohn’s Disease, there are ways to manage these issues for a better quality of life.
Working collaboratively with your family doctor, members of our Health Team can support you to make healthy and sustainable lifestyle changes that can support your digestive health.
Health Management Nurse – can offer you lifestyle strategies to support digestive health through stress management, exercise and improved sleep as well as setting achievable health goals.
Clinical Pharmacist – manages medications for conditions, including those that help manage chronic digestive health issues, and can help you understand both your prescriptions and natural medications or supplements.
Registered Dietitian — through group workshops and one-on-one appointments, our registered dietitians offer nutrition advice and information, helping you make sustainable changes to help manage your digestive symptoms.
Through our free, single-session Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) workshop, our health experts go over the fundamentals of IBS, offering supports whether you’re at the beginning of your journey or in need of ongoing support managing your condition.
