Digestive health

A smiling woman is holding her hands on her stomach in this portrait.

Our digestive systems play an important role in our overall health.

Symptoms such as heartburn, constipation or abdominal pain may mean our digestive system is not working properly.

For some, these symptoms may be temporary. If they occur regularly, it is important to speak to your family doctor about your symptoms to explore if it may be a chronic — or long-term — concern.

For those with chronic digestive health issues, conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), food allergies, celiac disease and Crohn’s Disease, there are ways to manage these issues for a better quality of life.

Working collaboratively with your family doctor, members of our Health Team can support you to make healthy and sustainable lifestyle changes that can support  your digestive health.
