You’re not alone. We’re here to help.
How you think and feel is important at every stage of your life — it impacts how you deal with life’s ups and downs.
Looking for mental health care for yourself, you and a partner or your family? Our programs, services and health professionals work with your doctor to provide you the best possible care, when you need it.
We can help you:
- improve overall emotional, social and mental wellbeing
- adjust to family or lifestyle changes and transitions
- cope with stress, anxiety or depression
- discuss relationships and spiritual or personal concerns
- and more
We have several options for mental health support.
One-Step-at-a-Time Counselling
One-Step-at-a-Time is a free, one session at a time counselling service for adults, couples and families who are going through a challenge in life and need to talk. The program supports patients 12 years and older — minors must have a parent present.
Book a one-hour appointment with a counsellor to talk about whatever difficulty is most important for you to explore at this time. If you need additional help, you can book another appointment approximately four weeks later. You may see a different counsellor.
Call our us at (587) 774-9736 to book a free appointment. Please note: you must have a family doctor to book an appointment with this program.
Behavioural health consultant
You may also be able to talk to a behavioural health consultant through your family doctor’s office. They work collaboratively with your doctor to offer short-term assistance to help with emotional and mental wellbeing, stress or lifestyle changes and transitions. They work with individuals, couples and families to help you with concerns such as:
- mild to moderate depression
- anxiety
- stress
- anger
- insomnia
- relationships
Ask your doctor if they are able to refer you to behavioural health consultant.
