Alberta Journeying Through Grief™ is a free eight-week workshop that is simple, positive and empowering.
Facilitated by registered health professionals, this workshop is for people who want to have an opportunity for a healthy learning process after loss.
WHO IT’S FOR
Journeying Through Grief™ is for anyone aged 18 or older who has experienced a life loss such as the death of a loved one, family member or friend.
If you are in the midst of a crisis, struggling with severe depression or anxiety or having suicidal thoughts, PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER. Call the Distress Centre’s 24-hour helpline at 403-266-4357 or 211.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
This is an eight-week program that empowers you to understand and cope with your grief and support emotional healing. Each week focuses on three sections:
- Understanding your grief journey
- A self-expression activity
- An active healing exercise
Each week you will learn new skills to help you in your journey through your grief. We will challenge you to try the skills out during the week.
